What, when and where is Fabric 2023?
FABRIC 2023 is a regional artistic program taking place between October 5-14, 2023, in Fall River, New Bedford and Providence.
Geographically, the program will be centered in downtown Fall River, the BCC Fall River campus, New Bedford's Whaling Museum and various locations across Providence.
Where can I find the full program?
You can check the full program here on our website on the Tab "Program." A physical program will also be made available and distributed across the three cities.
Fabric's program is subject to changes, which will be effectively communicated on social media and the website.
How do I get to Fall River?
Logan International Airport in Boston and T.F. Green Airport in Warwick (Rhode Island) are the airports serving the area.
Interstate 195 runs east-west through Fall River between Providence, Rhode Island and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. State Route 24 runs north toward Boston, Massachusetts and south towards Newport, Rhode Island.
The city of Fall River is most easily traversed by car. Fall River does offer transportation via bus, provided by the Southeastern Regional Transportation Authority (SRTA). There are also a few taxi companies that service residents and visitors of the city, including Town Taxi and Yellow Cab of Fall River.
Are there any age restrictions?
FABRIC 2023 is open to people of all ages, with the exception of the dinner series, which will be 21+. Underaged attendees must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
Do I need to purchase tickets?
Depends. Some events are ticketed, and others are free and accessible to everyone.
You can get tickets on our website. Keep in mind there is limited capacity for some events, so we recommend you purchase them in advance.
Are there any free events and activities?
Yes, all exhibitions/open studios have free access!
Allyson Viera will be installing sculptures at BCC's Pond on October 14th, which will be free to the public and something you won't want to miss. Also, keep an eye out for a film screening at RISD on October 7th and at the Whaling Museum on October 12th where there will also be a free live performance of Azorean, Indie Rock band, WE SEA!
How are you dealing with Covid-19?
Regarding Covid-19, the Festival is following all Mandatory Safety Standards and other recommendations from the State of Massachusetts.
I'm a Journalist and want more info on the Festival.
Journalists should contact the festival's communication team, indicating the outlet for which they work, a proposal to cover the festival, and/ or content to be developed before, during, or after the festival.

Fabric Arts Festival 2023's program is currently closed. Proposals should be addressed to the organization – info@fabricfallriver.com – by March 1st, prior to the festival's yearly edition. The artistic direction will reply according to the program goals set for each year.
